Herb - Anise

Used by ancient Greeks who touted the benefits of Anise and its ability to contribute to the relief and cure of many common ailments. Ancient Romans also used it as part of their meals and it was prepared for medicinal processing to treat digestion, colic, and nausea. Some even used it as an aphrodisiac.
English herbalists started using it to treat hiccups, for lactation treatment, and for edema or water retention. They also found it helpful to use in the fight against headaches and asthma, prostate cancer, and cholera.

Wild Rocket is the "old" wild variety. It has a more pungent taste than regular arugula. Deep green leafy vegetable, used in salads and soups. Harvest at 6-8 inches. Cinnamon basil is also known as Vietnamese basil or Saigon basil and it is native to Southeast Asia. It has a fragrant, sweet basil aroma. It contains cinnamate, the same chemical that gives cinnamon its flavor, and has the strongest scent of cinnamon. The leaves are small to medium sized. The combination of basil and cinnamon, clove and anise flavors make cinnamon basil popular for use in hot drinks and with fruits.
